Shoes and shirts are required.
Veterans are encouraged to wear something from their active service or veterans organization.

Restrictions: NO FIREARMS are permited in the Fairgrounds
NO ALCOHOL is permited in the Fairgrounds
NO SMOKING in any buildings
NO SMOKING near our buildings

Posts: increase your membership, and meet new donors.

Organizations: get your message out to hundreds of Veterans.

NOTE: This event is open only to exhibitors from Lake County Veterans organizations, and organizations that provide special services and/or opportunities for Veterans.

Exhibitors Schedule

Friday, July 23 - 6pm to 8pm: Exhibitors may begin setting-up displays.

Saturday, July 24 - 8am to 10am: Exhibitors will complete set-up.

Saturday, July 24 - 10am to 6pm: Exhibitors will display.

Saturday, July 24 - 6pm to 8pm: Exhibitors may begin removing displays.

Sunday, July 25 - 10am to Noon: Exhibitors will finish removing displays.

NOTE: the building will be locked between 8pm Friday, July 23 and 9am Saturday, July 24, and between 8pm Saturday, July 24 and 10am Sunday, July 25.
While the building's location makes it quite safe, there will be no overnight security. DAV42 and the Lake County Fair Board will not be held responsible for any loss or damage.

male: After World War 2 ended, there were huge parades for our returning heroes.

female: They had saved the entire planet from the wrath of the Nazis & Japs, the slave labor camps, the indiscriminant murdering of innocent civilians, and the near extermination of an entire ethnic population.

male: But ever since that time, few veterans have ever returned home to more than family and close friends greeting them. During some eras, our veterans actually came home to blatant hatred and disrespect.

female: Now it's time to stand-up & show our gratitude to these heroes!

male: "For America is today...
because of the sacrifices our veterans made yesterday."

female: Who's gonna be there?

male: All Lake County Veterans, including your neighbors, and your buddies.

female: All Lake County Veterans Organizations Including: many posts of AmVets, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Marine Corp League, Vietnam Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans, and more.

male: All veterans are encouraged to wear something from your active military or current veterans organization.

Veterans are also encouraged to bring a copy of their DD214 discharge paper to receive FREE special services from attending public & private agencies.

FROM THE NORTH:
RT-44 South to West Jackson St - RT-20 Mentor Av - Fairgrounds exit (1st exit).
Cross West Jackson St, right at Rt-20 Mentor Av, past 1 light, to Fairgrounds entrance.
FROM THE SOUTH:
RT-44 North does not have a RT-20 Mentor Av exit.
Use RT-84 exit, right to Chestnut St(quick left), left at RT-20, past 2-lights, left at Fairgrounds entrance.
NOTE: Fairgrounds Rd is CLOSED from RT84 to RT20
